Hotel della Posta is located 100 meters from the railway station Genova Principe, in the prestigious Via Balbi on the edge of Genoa’s old town; a few steps from Porto Antico and 500 meters from Acquario di Genova.
Among the various historical buildings that contribute to enshrine the importance of the abovementioned Via Balbi, two of them are particularly noteworthy: The University of Genoa and The Royal Palace. Moreover, most of these buildings besides hosting several university departments have been entered in the UNESCO List of Palazzi dei Rolli.
The hotel’s central location is superb and strategic to explore Genoa’s old town and easily reach all the points of the city, whether by foot or public transport. In addition, its proximity to the main railway station, makes it the ideal place for both business and tourist stays.

The hotel is a five-floor historical building with entrance on the ground floor and all rooms are air conditioned. All the 19 rooms can all be reached by lift and feature a simple but equally functional style. They perfectly suited to every need and stay, considering that each room is equipped with wardrobe, desk, air conditioning, Wi-Fi connection, TV with LCD screen and safe.
At first hotel’s floor there is a room specifically adapted for guests with limited mobility.
On the fifth floor you will find the only two hotel’s rooms having a terrace with view on Via Balbi.
All the rooms are no-smoking. For guests who smoke we provide entry to our balcony located on 5th floor.
HOW TO REACH US
Hotel della Posta enjoys a unique position and is well-connected to all forms of transport: the position makes it the best solution for both leisure and business stay.
The railway station Genova Principe is just 100 meters away from the hotel and even the fast train Freccia Bianca leaves from the same station, which is the main one. Moreover, all the trains to and from the Ligurian coast pass through Genova Principe

Hotel della Posta is about 8 km from Genoa Airport “Cristoforo Colombo” (GOA), that can be reached using a shuttle service provided by Volabus (€ 6,00 p.p.) which stops at Piazza Principe. From here you can walk towards the hotel for about 50 meters. Otherwise the hotel can also be reaches by taxi (€ 20/25,00).

From the highway A7 take the exit Genova Ovest – 2 km away from the hotel – then continue to Piazza Aquaverde. You can park your car in the blue areas near the railway station or in a guarded affiliated garage, which is about 150 meters away from the hotel, and then you will easily reach us on foot.

The closest entrance to the hotel is Principe and is accessed directly from the railway’s station. You can easily reach any point of the city centre by underground. In front of the metro’s entrance you will find the extra-urban bus terminal (included Flixbus).

Directly in front of the hotel’s entrance there’s an AMT (Azienda Mobilità e Trasporti) bus stop towards the west side of the town. Then, about 200 meters away from the hotel – namely at Piazza della Nunziata – there’s another bus stop to reach the city centre. Alternatively, you can also use the bus stop located in Via Gramsci, about 100 metres from the hotel.

The terminal lies approximately 1 km from the hotel and offers various connections including both those with to islands (Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Malta) and to Tunisia, Morocco and Spain.
